May 2021 - Trinidad Capital Partners (“Trinidad”) arranged a USD linked private placement for a biotech company.
While the note is issued in local currency, it is priced like a comparable USD instrument in exchange for FX protection to the investor. In essence, this product gives the issuer the opportunity to trade a hedge naturally offered by its export business against lower cost of financing.
In addition to arranging the structured note, Trinidad acts as advisor to both the investor and the issuer.
